About the Event

Two-day Tai Ji Standing Meditation course by Tai Ji Master LI Guangzhao

(includes Level 1 Wu Ji and Level 2 Huan Yuan Standing Meditation)

Offered through Care Comfort Cure Clinic (https://www.carecomfortcure.com). Students will learn both Level 1 Wu Ji and Level 2 Huan Yuan Standing Meditation in two days and then they can take the level 3 and level 4 courses on Oct 27-28.

Anyone can register. 16 CEU hours for "Category 2" for LAc. Certificate will be issued by Care Comfort Cure Clinic.

Level 1: Wu Ji Standing Meditation (Wu Ji Zhuang)

Wu Ji Zhuang is the first stage in Tai Ji Standing Meditation. Traditional Tai Ji training starts from Standing Meditation instead of Tai Ji forms/postures. This is how Tai Ji masters taught Tai Ji within their own families. With consistent daily practice of Wu Ji Zhuang, students learn the true meaning of “relaxation” for the body and “awareness and concentration” for the mind. Thus students can improve their physical and emotional well-being significantly and build a solid foundation for Martial Arts training if they are interested in it. Students are taught how to correctly position the 18 key parts of the body: Head, Feet, Neck, Chin, Teeth, Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, Finger, Chest, Upper Back, Abdomen, Lower Back, Hip, Buttocks, Knee, Ankle, and Crotch. Every student will get chance to feel the instructors when the techniques are demonstrated. Students gain deeper understanding of the forces of Yin and Yang. Students acquire valuable skills to heal themselves through mind and body exercises that can be done anywhere and anytime. They learn to follow the way of Tai Ji at home, work and everyday life.

Level 2: Hun Yuan Standing Meditation (Hun Yuan Zhuang)

Hun Yuan Zhuang is the second level in Tai Ji Standing Meditation. Traditional Tai Ji training starts from Standing Meditation instead of Tai Ji forms/postures, to cultivate Neigong, or Inner Power. This is how Tai Ji masters taught Tai Ji within their own families. In Level 1 Wuji Standing Meditation, students learn the true meaning of “relaxation” for the body and “awareness and concentration” for the mind. Level 2 Hun Yuan Standing Meditation builds on top of the relaxation technique of Level 1. In Level 2 Huan Yuan Standing Meditation, the instructors will further teach the students how to integrate the relaxed 18 body parts to form a coherent and integral body, and to cultivate a healthy and natural relationship between the body and the mind. Students are taught how to use posture and “Yi” (mind) to cultivate “Qi”to flow throughout the body. Every student will get chance to feel the instructors when the techniques are demonstrated. Students gain deeper understanding of the forces of Yin and Yang. Students acquire valuable skills to heal themselves through mind and body exercises. Hun Yuan Standing Meditation is also a key training technique to acquire Martial Arts skills.

太極內功第一階:無極樁功

無極樁功既是入門功法, 又是太極修為中最重要的功法。傳統的太極拳教學不是從拳架和套路開始的。古時太極大師們教門內弟子, 從無極樁功開始。 在勤練無極樁的過程中, 學生們學會達到身體真正松靜自然的狀態, 同時學會用「意」達到大腦專注、靈敏和警醒的狀態。持之以恆常練無極樁的學生都會體會到身體健康和心情的顯著改善,也為武術技擊的訓練打下了好的基礎。 對於無極樁功而言, 這就是如何正確地用「意」去擺正全身18個部位: 頭頂, 足, 頸,下頜, 齒, 肩, 肘, 腕, 手指, 胸, 背, 腹, 腰, 胯, 臀, 膝, 踝, 襠。教學中使用李光昭老師獨特的「看, 聽, 摸, 悟」教學法, 讓每個學生都有機會體會老師的姿勢和用勁。學生們在習練無極樁功的過程中會加深對陰陽之理的體會和認識。學生在本課程中不僅學到無極樁這個可以隨時隨地鍛鍊身心的功法, 還學到如何使用太極拳道的心法去工作和生活。

太極內功第二階:渾圓樁功

渾圓樁功是太極內功的第二階功法。傳統的太極拳教學不是從拳架和套路開始的。古時太極大師們教門內弟子,從傳授太極內功開始。渾圓樁功以培養太極內功為目的。通過第一階無極樁的練習,學生們學會把身體分開成18個部位,並且達到身體真正松靜自然的狀態。在第二階渾圓樁功階段,學生們學習如何再把這18個部位合成一個整體,並且以意導出氣來.教學中使用李光昭老師獨特的「看,聽,摸,悟」教學法,讓每個學生都有機會體會老師的姿勢和用勁。學生們在習練渾圓樁功的過程中會加深對陰陽之理的體會和認識。學生在本課程中不僅學到渾圓樁這個可以隨時隨地鍛鍊身心的功法,還學到武術技擊的基礎技能。
